Breathwork Techniques for Stress Release

Breathwork offers a simple yet powerful way to ease overwhelm and manage your energy. By tuning into and gently regulating the breath, we give our nervous system a clear signal that it’s safe to relax - helping us feel grounded, even in challenging moments.

In our breathwork workshops, we guide individuals and teams to connect with their breath and discover practical, science-backed techniques for managing stress in the moment. Whether it’s preparing for a tricky conversation or finding calm after a hectic day, these tools help restore balance and focus.

Breathwork for individuals

Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB) is a practice that uses intentional, continuous breathing to help people release stress, tension, and emotional blocks while increasing energy and self-awareness. Unlike normal breathing, which often has natural pauses, CCB involves deep, connected inhalations and exhalations without a break, creating a rhythmic flow of oxygen through the body.

At deeper levels, CCB can help to access our intuitive decision making, work through difficult experiences, process emotions and transform trauma. It is one of the safest and most direct ways to work with our whole selves and integrate mind and body.

A one to one breathwork session is typically 1.5 hours long and includes 3 stages: (i) preparation and intention setting (ii) 60 minutes of guided conscious breathing (iii) debriefing on the session. Everything discussed is confidential and it is a completely safe, and non-judgemental space. Lying down during a CCB session helps with entering a state of relaxation, but the session can also be facilitated as a seated practice.

The in-person sessions take place in a private garden room in Wirksworth, Derbyshire, or can be facilitated over Zoom for those that prefer or who live farther afield. If you would like to learn more, feel free to get in touch for a free 30 minute intro call.
